Paris’te bir sergide mavi domuz sürülerini gösteren bir resim gördüm ki köylüler bile buna gülüyorlardı. Fransa’da eskiden çok kuvvetli ressamlar vardı. Fakat on beş sene evvel Paris’e gidişimde resmin berbat bir hale geldiğini, zayıf boyalar, çizgisiz renkler ve zayıf desenler gördüm. Bunlar hep Manet’nin tesiri ile olmuştur. Bundan çok müteesir oldum. Mamafih şimdi Fransa’da tekrar yeni klasik üstadlar yetişmeye başladı. Ne ise, çok şükür” diyerek empresyonist sanatçılar hakkında düşündüklerini belirtmiştir. bu resmi bugün ilk kez gördüm. bu nasıl degas demekten de kendimi alamadım. renklerin sakinliğinden, biraz da kompozisyondan sezer gibi olsam da hala inanasım gelmiyor. degas bu resmi amerika'ya anasının akrabalarını ziyarete gittiğinde yapmış.

çok bilinmeyen bir resmi olsa da manet diye bağırıyor bu resim bence. bu bitirilmemişlik hissi, belirsiz arkaplan, öndeki figürün iyice öne çıkarılması gibi. pek gözel.

there were a number of good fruit combinations in fact.

Dütching also mentions that Cezanne painted "still life" pictures, so lively. Viewers want to eat these fruits

Nude has a very common subject matter but artists drew dream-like nudes or goddesses like Venus or Titian. In one of Ingre's works we see Titian as a nude lady.
